This is a meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It's where you meet other book bloggers and share the follower love. A question is also asked every week.
To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:
1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
5. If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed.
6. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
7. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers!
Q: Have you ever bought a book because of a bad review?
A: Nope, since starting the blog, all the books that I have bought have been given really good reviews. If I don't know what to read next, I turn to other book bloggers and read their opinions and views. Most of the books that I want are due to FANTASTIC reviews everywhere in the blogosphere so if there's a bad review of something, I won't be tempted to read it.
How about you?
Please follow me by GFC and I promise to check out your blog :)

Have a fantastic week, thanks!
I know what you mean- if good reads are everywhere and everyone's reading it and talking about it, a few bad reviews would no way put me off!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog- I could've sworn I was already following you but apparently I wasn't! Love your blog- have visited before!
x
I don't think I have ever bought a book simply because of a bad review - I tend to stay clear of those, but if just a few reviews are bad but most are positive, I'll get it.
ReplyDeletei agree with you - since starting my blog i have huge list of books to read from all the GOOD reviews out there. i don't have time for the "bad" ones.

I agree because that's how I feel too! But, sometimes it doesn't work out that way - case in point: Grave Mercy. EVERYBODY loved it. Except lil ole me :(
ReplyDeleteSo, I typically don't pay full price unless I read a bit of it first!
Thanks for stopping by, I returned the follow!

ReplyDeleteHi Beverley. I agree that there are so many good books out there, I'm not going to read one because of a bad review. Although, I don't read many bad reviews, unless it's written by someone I know has similar taste to me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by blog. I'm a new GFC follower.
Thanks so much for stopping by - I'm following back!
