Waiting on Wednesday #2

Waiting on Wednesday is a fabulous meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine!  It's a wonderful chance to share the books I'm eagerly anticipating and to find out what my fellow bloggers are looking forward to reading!

Never Enough
From the author of Losing Faith, a novel about two sisters and the eating disorder that threatens to destroy their family. Loann’s always wanted to be popular and pretty like her sister, Claire. So when Claire’s ex-boyfriend starts flirting with her, Loann is willing to do whatever it takes to feel special… even if that means betraying her sister. But as Loann slips inside Claire’s world, she discovers that everything is not as it seems. Claire’s quest for perfection is all-consuming, and comes at a dangerous price. As Claire increasingly withdraws from friends and family, Loann struggles to understand her and make amends. Can she heal their relationship —and her sister—before it’s too late?
[summary taken from Goodreads]

I've been excited for this book ever since I was first made aware of it.  It sounds like such a deep, meaningful read which I'd probably enjoy since I feel there's a lack of YA books that deal with serious issues like eating disorders.  I'm currently on the look out for some heavy reads so I think this one will be perfect!  I can't wait to meet Loann and Claire :)

What are you eagerly anticipating on this particular Wednesday?

Happy reading,
Beverley xxx

  3. Ah, Beverley, you just remind me to read this soon! x) I have the ebook but I haven't got around to read this yet. Books about eating disorder always make me sad. Have you read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson? It's so amazing! <3

    Awesome pick, lovely! x)

  9. You're absolutely right, Bev -- we don't see a lot of books tackle such serious topics (unless you consider saving the world from a zombie apocalypse a serious story, but I guess that's a different kind of serious LOL) so the ones that do always stand out! :) I don't think I've heard much of this book before, but if one of my fave bloggers (who usually has the same taste as me) is looking forward to it, then I am too! ;)

Amazing pick for your WOW this week, Bev! I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday :) <3

  12. Jasprit is currently reading this but I didn't check out what it was about. It sounds like a very serious read. I think this is a great YA topic because so many young peoppenheimer struggle with body image. To be honest, all ages of female struggle with body image. One thing that disturbs me is the whole moving in on your sister's boyfriend. Don't really care for that. Sisters need to stick together. Great pick Bev! :)
