Bev's New Books
Haha, so I don't actually have as much new books as Jen but the ones I did get are pretty awesome! I'm kinda behind my reading schedule and I feel I'm sort of falling into a slump. I've been busy with school lately so I've tried to keep requesting to a minimum, so here goes...

For review:
Dented Cans by Heather Walsh: I'm not usually eager to read self-published books but I was really attracted to the premise of this. Hopefully, it'll be a nice surprise. Thanks to the author for the copy.
Borrowed from Library:
Life on the Refrigerator Door by Alice Kuipers: This was a re-read. A short book for me to pick up during exam time. I think I may have enjoyed this more this time round.
For review via Netgalley/Edelweiss:
The Sea of Tranquillity by Katja Millay: This book sounds so utterly beautiful and I really can't wait to pick it up.
How My Summer Went Up in Flames by Jennifer Salvato Doktorski: Another book about a road-trip! I think I'll enjoy this.
September Girls by Bennett Madison: This one seems so thrilling... and my birthday is in September too!
Life After Theft by Aprilynne Pike: I really enjoyed reading Wings and loved her writing so I'm eager to see how this one goes.
Dear Cassie by Lisa Burnstein: I actually got this from a 'First 10 to RT will get a review copy' sort of thing and I was lucky enough to nab one. I'm very much looking forward to this... thing is, it's a pdf and it's quite difficult to read on my Kindle... any ways to convert it or something?
The Collector by Victoria Scott: OMG. So excited to be a part of the 2013 Belongs to Dante event! Seriously, Dante seems so... swoonworthy *sighs*
Many thanks to Atria Books, HarperCollins, Simon Pulse and YA Bound!
Gifted:
Touch by Jus Accardo: Another book I got from a 'RT for a copy' I fell in love with the cover... *swoons* Thanks to the author for the lovely gift!

Jen. GIRL. 42 BOOKS?! Now THAT is the type of book obsession that I like to call hardcore. ;) What is that, like 7 books per week? One book per day? Hahaha. ;) But honestly, you've got so many good ones that I don't even want to start. Like Taken and Archlight? WANT. The Chantress also looks super amazing, and I'm really looking forward to reading Unremembered, as I'm a huge Jessica Brody fan, ever since I met her at a book signing in 2011. Seriously, good luck and have fun getting through all of those, although I can't even imagine how you're going to manage to read all of those. I'm sure you have some superpowers or something that will allow you to do it. ;)
ReplyDeleteBev, although your haul is smaller than Jen's, I think you got some seriously fantastic books! I really, really want to read How My Summer Went Up in Flames. Even not being a huge contemp person, that book just sounds fantastic. And The Collector! I'm planning on going to the launch party for that one, and am seriously counting down the days! It looks like such a great book. I've also read some great reviews for the Sea of Tranquility, so I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts on it.
Fabulous haul you two! Have fun reading all those books! I'm sure you two would be able to make a fort out of all those books. <3
Wow, Jen! So many fabulous books! I don't even know where to start LOL! <3 If I were you, I would be very confused which book I should read next haha. x) I really want to read That Time I Joined the Circus - hoping that you're going to read and review it soon! <3 Loving the cover of Ten Tiny Breaths and September Girls! Really, underwater covers are bound to be awesome. :) I also have The Summer Prince. Hopefully we both will enjoy it! <3
ReplyDeleteI read mostly decent reviews on Life on the Refrigerator Door, but I still want to read your opinion, Bev! <3 The premise is just awesome. :) Hope you'll enjoy The Sea of Tranquility! Everyone seems to adore it so much. Yay for The Collector! I adore the cover so much. <3
Happy reading, girls! <3
WOW!! 42 BOOKS?! Three cheers for book hoarders :D I really want to read The Help, my English teacher recommended it to me ages ago so I think I need to soon. I also really want to read Unremembered, Rush, The Eternity Cure, and Warm Bodies. I have Dare to You for review too, and it sounds amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteEven though you don't have as many as Jen, you still have some great books, Beverley! :) I'm glad you enjoyed Life on the Refrigerator Door more the second time round, it is great when that happens! I really liked Wings too so I hope you enjoy Life After Death - I didn't even now she had another book that wasn't the Wings series. I'll have to look it up. :)
Happy reading, both of you! <3
Hopeles-wohoo!!! That book was so good. I don't think anything by Colleen Hoover can be less than amazing. The Sea of Tranquility broke my heart and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo good. Loved every single second of it. I think if I'll stay here and comment on every awesome book you have on your haul, then I might as well die of fangirling, lol. Love your haul and I can't wait to see what you think of ALL of them :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of books! Severed Heads, Broken Hearts looks really good and I love the cover, as well as Life After Theft. I can tell you that The Look is a really good read and Sophia Bennett is a brilliant author. Happy reading, Jen!
ReplyDeleteEven though your haul is small you picked up some really good books, Beverley! I'm so jealous that you received Life After Theft because I'm so desperate to read it; I loved the Wings series. Happy reading, Beverley! :D
Bev, The Sea of Tranquility is amazing - get out your tissues! - and I've heard great things about The Collector. I'm also DYING to read The September Girls - will have to hunt it down on NG and Edelweiss now!
ReplyDeleteJen, HOLY BOOKS! ;) I'm really excited to see what you think of The Summer Prince, Born of Illusion, The Help, Arclight, Ten Tiny Breaths, The September Girls, an How Zoe Made Her Dreams Come True. I really enjoyed Dare You To, and since you love contemporary even more than I do, I'm sure you will too! :)
Happy Reading Ladies! :D
Wow that is one epic haul Jen! How will you ever decide which book to pick up first? I'm so excited for you to read The Eternity Cure, Reboot and Transparent! And Beverley you received a copy of How My Summer Went up in Flames, I'm so jealous! I'll definitely be looking out for updates on that and all the rest of your books! Happy reading ladies! :)
