After reading the
synopsis for Transparent, I was
instantly intrigued. A girl who's invisible and works for her evil father? Yes
please! Fortunately, Transparent turned
out to be a fantastic read that kept me on the tip of my toes. First of all, I
loved the plot. It's exciting and full of twists. It has intense moments, but
there are a ton of fun scenes for the light-hearted. My one complaint is that
some scenes are a bit cheesy, but I shrugged those off easily.
The characters in Transparent were definitely an enjoyable
aspect of the novel. Fiona is a girl that readers can understand and connect
with, and the feelings that she goes through as an invisible girl feel
realistic. Not only did I love Fiona, but I loved her friends and family as well.
Full of support and protection, these characters do not fail to put a
heart-warming smile on your face. A seriously great cast of characters!
In all, I highly
recommend Transparent, it's such a
unique novel, and one of those where you can easily fly through. And I'm so
glad that it's not a series! It's perfect as a standalone. Check this one out
if you're looking for an adorable romance, contemporary/action filled story,
and a character who's invisible!
