As I said in a previous post, being able to come into the blogging community and form friendships has been utterly amazing – the best feeling ever! It’s so awesome that I now have a whole bunch of friends who run blogs I visit regularly and who I can chat with! They are also so inspiring and motivate me to keep going. Although I wish I could thank you all my readers, here are the ones who are definitely worthy of a mention.
Riya @ The Teen Book Guru: I LOVE this girl so frickin' much! She's the sweetest, kindest, most amazing blogging friend I could ever ask for!!! She's a true friend and I remember that time when something bad happened and I nearly wanted to quit blogging because of it and there she was, sending me the loveliest emails ever with words of support and encouragement and just cheering me up! THANK YOU for being there when I needed you! Aside from that, she is a wonderful blogger too, writes the most fantastic, enthusiastic reviews and inspires me no end! Go check out her pink wonderland!

Mimi @ Mimi Valentine's YA Book Review Blog: First of all, where are you, girl? Riya and I are missing you like CRAZY! We need you back so we can be a trio of giggling sixteen-year-olds swooning over fictional guys again!
This is another girly I ADORE! She is seriously one of the BEST bloggers out there and definitely one of the friendliest! When I stumbled upon her blog, I was ecstatic to find another blogger my age and I thought, 'Nah, she's way up there... she won't talk to a tiny person like me.' I was wrong. So very wrong! We quickly became good friends and she's so sweet and lovely and her enthusiasm is totally infectious and inspiring >.<

The Co-BloggerFirst off, JEN! I obviously can't write this post without saying a HUMONGOUS thank you!! Ever since you joined in August, you've added your own voice and enthusiasm to A Reading Daydreamer and made this blog an even better place! Thank you for being such a wonderful co-blogger: it's been absolutely amazing blogging with you these past few months and hope you won't get fed of me! Here's to many more blogoversaries and fun co-blogging times!
These two are two of my biggest supporters and I adore them both! All three of us are the same age and we have pretty similar reading tastes, which I think is what brought us together as a group in the first place! They are wonderful friends and even though we've never met in person, I already feel like I've formed great friendships with them. The Girlies

The Asian Circle ;)One of the best things about blogging is that it introduced me to so many amazing Asians! I just love it because obviously I'm Chinese but also because it's made me embrace the Asian 'part' of me even more! (I'm weird, I know :P)

Shirley @ Shiirleyy's Bookshelf: My favourite Aussie-Chinese gal!!! This girl is awesome and we've had some pretty... interesting Twitter chats. I think you'll always remember me as that British-Chinese girl hitting ping-pong balls off my friend's conservatory window (it wasn't deliberate, by the way, I just fail at table tennis!) XD And I shall always remember when you married Noah Hutchins (grr!) and I swore revenge for when you come to the UK, i.e. steal your husband ;)

Nina @ Death, Books and Tea and Catherine @ The Book Parade: My British-Chinese buddies!!!! These two girlies are totally awesome and have you seen their blogs? They both designed them themselves - how talented are they? HTML and technical stuff makes my head spin *_* Nina: I miss emailing each other, we should start again... once I stop procrastinating XD Catherine: I LOVE your enthusiasm... your excitement makes me smile :) So now I'm hoping there will be a big UK blogger event later this year so we can all meet!
The Inspiring OnesThese are all the 'big' bloggers out there who are all super friendly despite their popularity and come along and leave the most wonderful comments on our reviews and posts! Thanks for being so inspiring, guys!

Sam @ Realm of Fiction: Seriously, I am in awe of this girl! She writes such wonderful reviews and always posts regularly and I just love her blog! She's also a UK book blogger and I can safely say she is one of the BEST! Despite your amazing-ness, Sam, thanks for being such a great supporter of our blog, it's really appreciated!
Jasprit and Rachel @ The Readers Den: These two ladies are the dream team, running one of my most favourite blogs to visit! When I was considering taking on a co-blogger, I turned to them first and they gave me brilliant advice! Seeing how much fun they have co-blogging together gave me the push to look for one and then I found Jen! (And then when Jasprit told us ARD is one of her favourite blogs, I did another of my happy dances!) Together, Jas and Rachel have done a brilliant job with the blog and it's amazing how much it's grown and flourished - I can't wait to see what they have in store for us this year!
Jenny @ Supernatural Snark: I can't believe I wasn't aware of Jenny's blog until Mimi mentioned it to me! I'm not even kidding when I say she writes the most BEAUTIFUL reviews ever: she really has a way with words. If she ever writes her own book, I will be first in line to get my hands on it! And thank you for the lovely comments you leave us, they are alway really supportive and encouraging!

The Ones Who Have Been There Since the BeginningThese are the awesome UK bloggers who welcomed me with open arms when I first started and who have watched my blog grow. Thanks for being such great supporters!

Thank you to all the blogging friends who made this journey extra special! You are all such lovely people and it's been such a pleasure to blog alongside each and every one of you ^.^
Hopefully this year, I will continue to make new friends - something about blogging which I love!
Happy reading,
Beverley
Cool Post, hope we can be blog friends <3 Your blog always inspires me. Happy Blogaversary :)
ReplyDelete- Sunny @ www.asupersunnyspot.blogspot.com
I'm blogging friends with Eileen too and I love your description of her. She's really great and I love her sparkly blog. She's helped me a lot and got me started on song reviews too. We share a common love of Taylor Swift so it's always fun to talk about her.
ReplyDeleteAs for you, you have a pretty pink blog and write excellent reviews. I really love your header pictures.
Finally, I would like to wish you best of luck in 2013 with your blog:)!
one congratulations on your anniversary more books to come ...
ReplyDeleteAWWWWWWW GUYS. I THINK I NEED TO CRY.
ReplyDelete*runs away*
*thirty minutes later*
Okay! I'm good. I LOVE ALL MY ASIANS TOO. COME ON PEOPLE GROUP HUG! *pulls Jen and Bev into hug* You guys aren't tall right? O_O Because I'm like 5'3" and a half and I REALLY like putting my arms ABOVE someone's shoulders and it's awkward because if I try to hug tall people I always end up squeezing their arms awkwardly O_O Seriously. You guys aren't tall right? PLEASE TELL ME YOU AREN'T. Or else I'll have to just squeeze your waists and while that's still okay
WAIT. Aren't group hugs supposed to be waist hugs?
I SO THINK THEY ARE!
*lightbulb moment*
OKAY SCRAP THAT LAST IDEA. YOU CAN BE AS TALL AS YOU WANT. I APPROVE.
Anyway, Hilda lives in INDONESIA?! JELLY BELLY.
JELLY BEANS are awesome. JUST SAYING. Not that I don't like any other candy, jelly beans are just so awesome! Although some flavors just seriously creep me out. And they taste all...MERP.
ANYWAY, I am SO off-topic right now, I have to tell you guys HOW EPICALLY AWESOME YOU ARE.
SERIOUSLY. BEV, YOU'RE SO MY FAVORITE BRITISH (ASIAN) BLOGGER. TOTES. AND JEN, I MAY HAVE MET YOU A FEW MONTHS AGO BUT WHERE DO YOU LIVE? I WANT TO COME OVER WITH MY SPARKLY PINK CHAINSAW TO SCARE YOUR PARENTS AND THEN TOTALLY CREEP THEM OUT AND POSSIBLY GET THE POLICE CALLED ON ME BECAUSE I HUG YOU AFTER.
BEV, YOU'RE NEXT.
Love you guys <3333
Merp!
Love,
Your favorite spazzy alligator ;P
Whenever Eileen comments above me, I always have to take a moment to laugh. Hard.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, you have so many blogging buddies Bev! I absolutely adore your Asian circle, haha. I want in on this! ;) But all the people you mentioned are all sweethearts. <3 I seriously admire Sam, Jasprit, and Rachel SO MUCH too. They inspire me to be a better blogger all the time!
Fabulous post, Bev. <3 I'm loving these Blogoversary posts!
Aww, this is such a sweet post, Bev! :) I love that blogging introduces you to so many amazing, inspirational and just TOTALLY SWEET people. GROUP HUG! <3 Happy blogoversary, guys!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post, Bev, this community is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAWWW BEV! I think I'm going to start tearing up!!!!!!!!!!!! :') You probably already know this, but I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, GIRLIE! We've been through quite some times together, good and bad, and you've stuck with me through EVERYTHING. I can't tell you how much your support and friendship means to me! Even though we've never met in real life, you get me and understand me, and we have a major blast gossiping about books and bookish guys and what-not. ;) Sometimes I feel like everything isn't really going well in school and stuff with my friends and all, and then I remember that I have YOU and that makes everything better. :') I'm SO happy I started blogging and visited your lovely and exquisitely-written blog because when you walked (uh, commented) into my life, I knew I had found a friendship for the ages. LOVE YOU!
ReplyDeleteAnd, p.s., Mimi, where are you?!?!?! BEV AND I MISS YOU SO MUCH, PLEASE COME BACK?? <3 :(
Amazing post, Bev!!!!!!!! Love you so much!!!!! :)
Happy blogoversary, chickie!

ReplyDeleteThis blog is one of my absolute favourites and I'll most definitely be sticking by it for ALL ETERNITY! :P It's been a pleasure to blog alongside you aswell, you are an AMAZING blogger and I always love your posts! xD
As I said the other day, the best thing about blogging is all the friends you make. I'm so happy I found people I enjoy talking to.
ReplyDeleteAnd btw, I miss Mimi so much, too! She is the sweetest.
Beverley! *HUGS* Thanks so much for mentioning me! You know I adore your blog, and thank you also for supporting MINE. It's safe to say you and Jen are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogoversary! Here's to many more years to come. :)
Aw, thank you SOOO much for the mention!! :D You are one of my favourite blogs and I appreciate all your support too. I think you know I love you and Jen already though;) :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I miss Mimi too :( xx
Aannnnnnnd I just died. Seriously. It's times like this I wish I had the ability to reach through my computer and distribute hugs, because I would leap through this screen right now and pounce on you Bev. In a completely normal, not-stalker like way. Obviously.
ReplyDeleteI'm humbled, flattered, and a whole slew of other things by the inclusion of me and my blog in this post and I honestly cannot thank you enough. I have enjoyed every single visit I've made to this blog and I look forward to a 2013 full of comments and general bookish awesomeness with you and Jen. *this is me hugging you*
Awww Beverley you're so sweet! *hugs* I am so glad to have discovered your blog, like I said before I loved reading your fresh and enthusiastic reviews and then Jen came along and you guys blew me away even more!! I know you guys will have so many awesome co-blogging years to come! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice post. There are a couple here who I am not familiar with, so I will have to check them out. I miss Mimi and hope that everything is going well for her.
ReplyDeleteBEVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV I FREAKING LOVE YOU CRAZY-ASIAN-GIRL!!! Hahahahahahaa that ping-pong incident was SO hilarious! It sorta brings back bad memories of how I failed at playing ping-pong back when I was 11 at a friend's party :/ And it was embarrassing because I was one of the few Asians there, and the non-Asians played MUCH better than me!!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BLOGOVERSARY girlieeee<3 And good luck with exams!! Oh, and my aunt from England was attempting to explain to me the English education system...and geez, I found it difficult :/ hehehee
This is such a lovely post. You've named some great blogs! Riya is indeed a very nice girl!
ReplyDeleteAw thanks so much for the mention Beverely :') <3 Happy blogoversary, and congrats on making 800 followers! WOW :D
ReplyDeleteYou're soooo sweet Beverly!! Thank you for your kind and lovely comments! I'm happy to see co-blogging is working out for you. You and Jen seem like the perfect fit. Your blog is one of my favorites out there! Jen and your reviews are always fun and fresh, and I always have a giggle or two reading them. Congrats on the one year and best wishes on many more to come ladies! :)
