Showcase Sunday is hosted by the lovely Vicky over at Books, Biscuits and Tea! It's a great way to share what you have received over the past week and to also gush over the wonderful books other bloggers have added to their bookshelves!
For Review:
Deadly Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock: I'm super excited to read this, I haven't read many werewolf books but this one sounds too good to pass up! I've read several great reviews on it from some of my favourite bloggers so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll enjoy it too!
Dark Eyes by William Richter: This has been dubbed as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for teens and the author is a Hollywood screenwriter!!! I don't know about you but I'm guessing this is gonna be pretty thrilling and adrenaline-fuelled! It's different from what I usually read but I'm always interested in 'broadening my horizons'
Bought:
The Hunger Games trilogy: Eeeeeeeee! Loved the film so hopefully I'll adore the books too <3 I'm currently reading the first one (I know, I know. I really should be reading a book sent to me for review*) and I'm loving it! It's so captivating and it's completely absorbed me into its world! Katniss is such a kick-ass female protagonist and Peeta just melts my heart with his adorableness <3 I'd like to finish the trilogy before the end of summer so I'll probably resort to reading two books at a time -.- Thank you, Dad, for the awesome books!
And that's it for me this week, don't forget to link me up so I can drool all over your hauls hehe >.<
Here's some things you might have missed this week:

Great books. I just love the covers of the Hunger Games series here, I have different versions but these are so much more striking. They're amazing books, especially the first two (I preferred the 2nd one to the 1st!). They're so captivating that I'm sure you'll finish them asap as you'll just want to read on to see what happens next! Hope you love them as they're great :)

I love the cover on Deadley Hemlock, that wolf in the background is sort of disguised. Also yay for you reading The Hunger Games. Hope it didn't get overly hyped so that you don't enjoy it now. :)
ReplyDeleteBev, I sure won't blame you for devouring Hunger Games instead of reading books for review! x) Drop me a note when you've reached book 2 and meet Finnick - I love that guy to bits and pieces! <3 Peeta and Katniss' relationship is one of the best part in the book I think. I'm altogether Team Peeta! xD
ReplyDeleteHappy reading, Beverley! <3 I can't wait to read your reviews of The Hunger Games! :)
THE HUNGER GAMES<3 Wowww...that edition is SO PRETTY! Oh, did you know; apparently Scholastic Aus. are going to publish a limited edition of THG trilogy<3 I can't wait to see it<3 Andddd YOUR DAD IS SO NICEEEE! My dad would NEVER buy me books; he HATES it when I read :S *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOOohh DEADLY HEMLOCK! I hope you enjoyyyy<3 I tried reading it, but I was still having a book hangover after reading PTL so I wasn't in the mood to read anything else. But I'll give it another go one day! Dark Eyes sounds SO AWESOME! Can't wait for you review :D
